Team Member Referral Program

Southwest Care Center encourages all team members to refer qualified job applicants for available job openings. All SCC open positions, with the exception of PRN and Contract positions, are referral program eligible and are set at the maximum total referral bonus amounts listed below. Referral bonus maximums are prorated by the FTE of the position being filled.

 


The following table illustrates eligible bonus payments for a 1.0 FTE.

Eligible referral bonuses will be paid when the referred candidate is hired and meets the length of 
service milestones—1) 25% of maximum total bonus paid at completion of Introductory Period (typically 
90 days) and 2) 75% of total maximum bonus paid following referred employee reaching 6 months of 
service.

Submission of Referral

  1. Within the Workday self-service portal, enter “refer” in the search bar at the top of screen then select “refer a candidate” task.

  2. Enter as much detail as available, noting contact email and phone assist with timely communication by the assigned HR representative.

  3. Click “submit” button at bottom of page

  4. If applicable, request your referral candidate submit an employment application as found on the Southwest Care Center’s career page and select “employee referral” in answer to the question “How did you hear about us?”

Referral Program Rules

  1. All Southwest Care Center employees, except those with direct hiring authority over the referred candidate, are eligible for the referral bonus.

  2. The hiring of a referred employee must occur within 180 days (six months) of the initial referral date. 

  3. The referral must represent the candidate's first contact with Southwest Care Center. 

  4. Exception will be made for previous employees who have been separated for more than 1 calendar year from last date of employment. 

  5. Employees must refer candidates through the Workday self-service portal following all program rules. The referring employee must agree to have his or her name used when the company contacts the candidate. 

  6. The first employee to refer a candidate will be considered the bonus eligible referral.

  7. Only candidates who meet the essential qualifications for the position will be considered referral eligible under this program. 

  8. All referred candidates will be evaluated for employment consistent with company policies and procedures.

  9. All information regarding the hiring decision will remain strictly confidential and not shared with referring employee. The assigned HR representative will notify of referring employee of eligibility following hire.

  10. The referring employee must be employed by Southwest Care Center at the time of referral bonus payout to receive payment.

  11. All referral bonus payments will be paid on the first full payroll following the meeting of milestones as described in the Positions and Referral Bonus Amounts section. 

  12. Maximum total bonus amounts will be prorated by the FTE assigned to the open position. Example: If a referred candidate is hired for a .5 FTE position, then 50% of the referral bonus and add-on bonus will be paid.

  13. Internal candidates and those applying to PRN and Contract positions will not be considered eligible referrals under this plan.

  14. Any disputes or interpretations of the employee referral program will be managed by Human Resources department.
